The SUNY Brockport men's hockey team is receiving votes in the first
release of the USCHO.com Division III National Poll released Monday
afternoon by the highly popular college hockey website. The Golden
Eagles are receiving six votes in the poll.
Brockport opened regular season play with two road victories over the
weekend. The Golden Eagles came from behind for a thrilling 3-2 victory
on the road at King's College on Friday night, before rolling to a
convincing 6-0 at Neumann University on Saturday.
Brockport's Mitchell Parsons, Ryan Romeo and Corey Tam
are tied for the team lead with four points each. Parsons recorded a
goal in each game this past weekend and he also added two helpers in the
Golden Eagles' win at Neumann on Saturday. Romeo, a captain alongside
Tam, posted one goal and three assists to help Brockport improve to 2-0
on the year. Tam tallied two assists in the opener and added a goal and
an assist in game two of the weekend set.
Trevor Pray
is tied for the team lead with two goals, both of which proved to be
game-winners. His first goal of the season came with 2:14 left in
regulation to help propel the Golden Eagles to a 3-2 come-from-behind
win at King's on Friday night.
Aidan Curry stopped 25 shots as he picked up his first win of the year against King's on Friday night. Transfer Nolan Egbert stopped 25 shots and picked up his first shutout as a Golden Eagle in a 6-0 win over Neumann on Saturday.
