The College at Brockport ice hockey team fell to No.6/8 Oswego State
Friday night, by a score of 5-2. With the loss, the Golden Eagles move
to (7-2-1) overall and (2-2-1) in conference, while the Lakers improve
to (5-1-0) and (3-1-0) in the SUNYAC.
The Lakers wasted little time in the first period, scoring their first goal of the game four minutes in. The Golden Eagles found themselves man down five minutes later after a two-minute tripping call was made on Doc Gentzler. The Lakers took advantage of the man-up opportunity, scoring their second of the night on the PP. Following the goal, Brockport fell into penalty trouble once more, giving Oswego another PP chance late in the period. The Lakers scored their third goal on the PP opportunity with 8:48 remaining in the period.
