ZAGARI: A SUPER STUDENT!

I love DIII sports for a variety of reasons, one being the emphasis on academics -- the participants are called student-athletes for a reason.

It's always good to see the hockey players do well in the classroom, especially when they excel like one of this year's freshmen has.

Michael Zagari, the towering, powerful forward and winner of the Jimmy Mac's Most Improved Player Award, pulled off an amazing feat, securing a perfect 4.0 in both semesters this year!

That's an amazing accomplishment for any student --- especially one who is new to the college environment and is participating in a sport and all that it entails.

Kudos to Michael on his excellence on the ice and off of it!
