The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team lost to Cortland Saturday night
5-1 at the Wegman's Ice Arena. Brockport is now 6-13-3 overall and
3-9-1 in SUNYAC play.
Brockport recorded a total of 13 shots in the first period. Cortland's first goal of the night came at 17:24 into the first.
Cortland scored three goals to open up the second period. Brockport's Schuyler Flansburg scored the Golden Eagles lone goal of the night at 18:06 into the second period. Flansburg was assisted by Chase Maxwell and Manny Sanchez. Cortland answered back quickly, scoring their fifth goal of the night at 18:55.
After a scoreless third period, Brockport recorded a total of 40 shots to Cortland's 33, and won 29 of 54 faceoffs.
In goal for the Green and Goal was David Filak. Filak made 28 saves and allowed five goals on the night, giving him a save percentage of .848%.
