The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team lost to SUNY Geneseo, 6-2, in
the final game of the season. The Golden Eagles end their 2022-2023
season with an overall record of 10-15 overall and 5-10 mark in the
SUNYAC.
Geneseo struck first with a goal at 13:48 into the first period, taking the 1-0 lead.
Right before the end of the first, Andrew Harley answered back with a goal for the Green and Gold. With just 23 seconds before the end of the period, Harley was assisted Ryan Brow and Josh Grund.
After a tie game through one, Geneseo scored four more goals in the
second period. The Knights entered the second intermission up 5-1.
The Green and the Gold started the third period with Ryan Brow's first collegiate goal. Brown was assisted by Chris Aarons and Josh Grund. However, that would be the last score of the evening for Brockport.
Geneseo scored once more before the final buzzer, taking the win 6-2.
Nolan Egbert played 29:44 minutes on the ice starting in goal. Egbert made 26 saves and allowed 3 goals. Teammate Aidan Curry
played 29:32 minutes on ice, stepping into the game during the second
period. Curry made thirteen saves and allowed three goals.
