The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team will host their first annual
Willie Bee Foundation Jersey Night on Saturday, January 21st against
SUNY Canton at 5p.m. The Golden Eagles will dawn special edition
uniforms throughout the contest as a tribute to the Willie Bee
Foundation. The game worn jerseys will be available for purchase via
silent auction from Feb. 7 through Wednesday, February 19th until 12:00 p.m. (EASTERN).
The Willie Bee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable
organization founded in August of 2017 to benefit local families who
have a child facing a life-threatening illness. The Willie Bee
Foundation was founded in memory of Will, who lost his life after a
courageous battle with AT/RT, an aggressive brain tumor just a few weeks
shy of his second birthday. "We look to ease the burden that families
who have a child with a life-threatening illness face, we have realized
that how we ease that burden looks different for every family we have
the honor and privilege of doing something for. We listen to our
families and assist where they can benefit most. We also aim to help
families make memories."
The bidding on all 29 players uniforms will start at $50 with proceeds
to benefit The Willie Bee Foundation. Bidding should be done in a
minimum $5 increments. You can place a bid by emailing Head Coach Brian Dickinson at bdickins@brockport.edu with your name and current bid.
The jersey auction winners will be listed right here at gobrockport.com/auction and you will be notified via email.
