Brockport's Mitchell Parsons
was recently named an All-American Scholar by the American Hockey
Coaches Association (AHCA). To qualify, a student-athlete must have
attained a 3.75 GPA for the fall 2019 semester and participated in 40%
of their school's games.
"These are exceptional individuals," said AHCA executive director Joe
Bertagna. "The sport demands a great deal from these athletes so it is a
great statement they make, individually and collectively, with their
ability to attain this level of academic achievement while contributing
at the NCAA Division III level."
Parsons, a forward for the Golden Eagles, played in 25 games last season
and posted eight points on three goals and five assists. In 51 career
collegiate games he has 23 points on 11 goals and 12 assists.
