GREEN IS SUNYAC GOALIE OF THE WEEK

Senior goaltender Aaron Green (Mt. Albert, ONT) has been named the State University of New York Athletic (SUNYAC) Goalie of the Week. Green led The College at Brockport Ice Hockey team to a weekend split against SUNYAC opponent Morrisville.

Green won his seventh straight game Friday evening, a convincing 7-3 victory over the Mustangs. Brockport took a 3-0 lead early in the second period before the Mustangs aggressively sought to score their first goal. Green denied Morrisville 14 times during the second period but the Mustangs were able to score its first goal with about a minute remaining in the period. Overall Green, finished the game with 27 saves.

In the second game of a weekend series against Morrisville, Brockport fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. However Green put in another stellar performance in net for the Golden Eagles. In the first two periods of play Green saved nine shots apiece. The Mustangs held a 2-1 lead at the second intermission mark. In the third period Green stopped eight shots before being pulled for the extra skater. An empty net goal gave the Mustangs the 3-1 win.

Green currently leads the SUNYAC in goals against average (1.44) and save percentage (.950). He also is 8-3-0 on the season while posting two shutouts.
