Brockport's winning streak ended by Potsdam

The College at Brockport ice hockey team had its program-record, seven-game win streak snapped at home on Saturday. Brockport fell to Potsdam, 4-2, after the visiting Bears netted three goals in the third period.

The Green and Gold move to 12-7 overall and 6-5 in SUNYAC play after splitting the weekend with one win and one loss.

Corey Tam got the action started with a one timer coming right after a face-off in the offensive zone. Doc Gentzler won the puck drop in Ethan Solat's direction, who found Tam for the score. The 1-0 lead would stand until Jeremy Solat scored an unassisted goal later in the period to put Brockport up 2-0. Potsdam got on the board late in the first to make the score read 2-1 at the first intermission.

After a scoreless period in the second, it all came down to the third period. Potsdam scored two quick goals just inside of three minutes left in regulation to take a 3-2 lead. The Golden Eagles pulled the goalie to add an extra skater in the final moments to try and tie it up, but the visiting team found a way to score on the empty net putting the game away.

Senior goaltender Matt Schneider came up with 25 saves on the day, as the team was outshot 29-17 by Potsdam.

Brockport sets program record with 7th straight win

The College at Brockport ice hockey team set a new program record with its seventh win in a row Friday night, defeating Plattsburgh 4-1 at home. Brockport, on its longest win streak in program history, is now 12-6 overall and 6-4 in SUNYAC play.

Ryan Romeo put the Green and Gold on the board first with a one-timer, rocket on the power play. Connor Hutchins assisted on the first goal of the contest, as Brockport went up 1-0 early in the first.

Plattsburgh responded with a power play score of its own just minutes later to tie the game up at 1-1. However, the Golden Eagles would have the perfect response playing down a skater. Danny Rock got Jordan Renaud the puck for the short-handed goal to take the lead back at 2-1.

Entering the second period up by a goal and on the power play once again, Romeo found the back of the net for another score to put Brockport up 3-1 in the first minute of the second. Anthony Hora and Connor Hutchins were credited with assists.

In desperation in the final minutes of the third period, Plattsburgh pulled the goalie to add a skater. Jake Colosanti took advantage of the empty net with the team's third power play goal of the evening with assists from Ethan Solat and Corey Tam. The final score of the night put the game away, as Brockport took the 4-1 win over its SUNYAC opponent.

Senior goaltender Matt Schneider made 24 saves in the contest, playing the full 60 minutes for the Green and Gold. Ryan Romeo tallied two goals on three shots in the game. Colosanti and Renaud each found the back of the net once for the team.

Connor Hutchins made two assists in the win to lead the team. Tam, Solat, Rock, and Hora all registered one assist to aid Brockport's efforts. The team won the faceoff battle, 34-28, on the night and went 3-for-8 on the power play.

This weekend's games

The College at Brockport ice hockey team is back in action this weekend with two home games. Brockport will host Plattsburgh for a 7 pm start on Friday night and then play Potsdam at home Saturday starting at 4 pm.

Jimmy Z's Night: Friday night's matchup with Plattsburgh is Jimmy Z's Night at the Tuttle North Ice Arena. The first 150 fans to arrive in the arena will receive a free gift courtesy of Jimmy Z's and Jimmy himself will be manning the t-shirt cannon in-between periods.

Fill the Nest: It's Jimmy Z's Night and it's the first home athletic event on campus since classes started for the new semester. Come out, show support, and have some fun at the Tuttle North Ice Arena Friday night and help fill the nest for this big time SUNYAC conference matchup. Brockport is just one spot above Plattsburgh in the conference standings heading into the weekend.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles defeated Albertus Magnus College convincingly on the road in their last game, 4-0, to put a stamp on a successful four game road trip. Jake Colosanti scored in the first period to get things started and Brockport followed that up with three goals in the second to put the game away. Colosanti finished with two goals in the game, while Corey Tam and Jeremy Solat each had two assists. Goaltender Aidan Curry completed the shutout with 26 total saves between the pipes.

Hot Streak: The Green and Gold have been on a tear lately, winning six games in a row to start the 2020 calendar year. Since the new year started the team has defeated Neumann, King's, Lebanon Valley, Stevenson, Anna Maria, and Albertus Magnus. Brockport has been hot with most of its games on the road during the win streak. The team looks to continue its strong play as it returns to SUNYAC competition this weekend.

Clutching out Wins: During this winning streak on the ice, the Golden Eagles have won four games that have been decided by just one goal including two overtime wins. In a 5-4 win over Neumann, they scored four goals in the third period for a comeback win at home. Doc Gentzler was the hero with the game winning goal against King's College, as Brockport won 5-4 in overtime. The team pulled out another close one against Lebanon Valley with a 4-3 victory on the road. Its second overtime win during this stretch came at #11 Stevenson, who was ranked tenth in the country at the time, as Connor Hutchins buried the game-winner in overtime.

Goal Scorers: Jordan Renaud and Jake Colosanti are the team's two leading goal scorers so far this season. Both have tallied seven goals on the year for Brockport, including three game-winners combined. The two skaters have three power play goals each and are combined +9 while on the ice.

Helping Hands: Ryan Romeo has the most assists on the squad heading into the weekend with 13 to go with his five goals. Doc Gentzler also has double-digit assists, tallying 11 so far. Connor Hutchins, Danny Rock, and Renaud all have helped on nine goals this season.

Wearing Shots: It takes toughness on defense to sacrifice the body to block an incoming shot in front of the net. Defensemen Casey Winn and Corey Tam lead the team in blocks on the year. Winn has interrupted 15 shots so far, while Tam has 10 blocks defensively. Hunter Laslo and Romeo have contributed in the defensive zone as well with 15 blocks combined.

Between the Pipes: With a 7-4 record in the net and one shutout to his credit, Matt Schneider is the team's leading goaltender. Schneider has made 305 saves this season, as he eclipsed the 1,000-career saves mark earlier in the year. He also has a saves percentage of .892 as a senior. Aidan Curry recently recorded the first shutout of his collegiate career against Albertus Magnus and has made 46 saves on the season with a 2-0 record as a freshman.

Scouting Plattsburgh: The Cardinals are currently 6-8-2 overall this season and have a 3-3-1 mark in the SUNYAC. After winning two straight, the team tied its last game against #15 Williams, 2-2. Plattsburgh is 3-0-1 in its last four conference games, including a 7-5 win over Potsdam. In the last meeting between these two teams, Brockport came out on top with a 3-1 win last year.

Scouting Potsdam: The Bears are 3-13-1 overall and 2-6-1 in conference play ahead of the weekend. They will be facing off against #3 Geneseo on Friday before coming to Brockport Saturday.  Potsdam is just 1-4 in its last five outings with its last contest being a 5-3 loss to SUNY Canton. Brockport has defeated Potsdam three consecutive times heading into the weekend, with last year's win coming by a score of 3-2.

Brockport goes to 6-0 in 2020

The College at Brockport men's hockey team capped its four game road trip with its sixth straight victory as the Golden Eagles topped host Albertus Magnus 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.  Jake Colosanti registered two goals and freshman goalie Aidan Curry stopped all 26 shots he faced to pick up his first collegiate shut out for the Golden Eagles.

Brockport is now 11-6 overall and the Golden Eagles have not lost in the new year as they prepare to return to SUNYAC play at home next Friday against Plattsburgh (7 p.m.).  Albertus Magnus saw its record fall to 3-14-2 overall on the season.

Colosanti's two goal effort led the way on offense for Brockport, while Jeremy Solat and Corey Tam each registered two assists. Doc Gentzler and Trevor Pray also chipped in with one goal each for the visitors.

Colosanti got the Golden Eagles going in the first period when he netted his first of the day and sixth of the year at the 15:40 marker of the opening period.  He was assisted by brother's Ethan Solat and Jeremy Solat to kickstart the Brockport offense.

Pray gave the visitors a 2-0 lead just 4:53 into the second to help ignite what would be a three goal second period of play for the Golden Eagles.  Pray's third of the year was assisted by Corey Tam and Scott Ramaekers.

Colosanti was back at it less than three minutes later when he scored his seventh of the year off an assist from Jordan Renaud at 7:12.  Renaud now has nine assists this season.  Gentzler capped the scoring on the day and handed Brockport a convincing 4-0 lead 11:00 into the second period as he found the back of the net for the fourth time this season. Corey Tam and Jeremy Solat were each credited with their second assist of the day on the game's final goal.  Tam now has eight assists this year and Jeremy Solat has seven.

Curry was a rock in net for the Golden Eagles as he earned his second collegiate win while stopping 26 shots. He also fended off all five of the power-play chances he faced.  Three of those penalty kill opportunities came in the third period to help preserve the shut out. Pierce Diamond made 25 saves in net for the home team.

Brockport outshot Albertus Magnus 29-26 on the day and the Golden Eagles also went 1-for-7 on the power-play.

Brockport beats Anna Maria College

The College at Brockport men's hockey team picked up its 10^th win of the season on Friday night as the Golden Eagles topped host Anna Maria College 3-1 in non-conference action. The Golden Eagles have now won five straight games to start the new year, including three consecutive on the road over the course of the last two weekends.

The contest featured three different goal scorers for the Golden Eagles as they improved to 10-6 overall on the season.  Brockport snapped the AMCATS three game winning streak as their record fell to 9-4-3 on the season.

Connor Hutchins, Ethan Solat and Jake Colosanti each registered a goal for Brockport, while Jordan Renaud chipped in with a team-best two assists. Senior goalie Matt Schneider registered 21 saves on the evening to pick up his ninth win of the season.

After a scoreless first period of play that saw Brockport outshoot the home team 10-6, Connor Hutchins got the visitors on the scoreboard with his fourth goal of the season 4:11 into the second period to put the Golden Eagles on top 1-0. Anthony Hora and Jordan Renaud each registered an assist on the game's opening goal.

Ethan Solat then netted what proved to be the game-winner 6:30 later when he notched his fourth goal of the year at 10:41 of the second period to put Brockport on top 2-0.  Jeremy Solat and Casey Winn assisted on the Golden Eagles' second goal of the afternoon.

The AMCATS netted a power-play goal midway through the third period of play, but the Golden Eagles answered to extend their lead back to two goals with 3:01 left in regulation.  Jake Colosanti netted the third and final goal of the game for the visitors, his fifth of the year, off assists from Renaud and Danny Rock.

Brockport went 1-for-4 on the power-play, while Anna Maria posted a 1-for-2 effort on the power-play.

Julius Huset stopped 35 shots for the AMCATS as Brockport outshot the home team 38-22 on the day.

Golden Eagles in New England this weekend

The College at Brockport men's hockey team remains on the road this weekend as it travels to Massachusetts and Connecticut for non-conference action looking to remain red hot when the Golden Eagles take on Anna Maria Friday (4:40 p.m.) and Albertus Magnus Saturday (4 p.m.).

On the Road Again: By the end of the weekend the Golden Eagles will have traveled over 1,500 miles, playing in four different states (PA, MD, MA, CT), over the course of the last two weeks. Brockport has a 5-3 record on the road this season.

Red Hot Golden Eagles: Brockport has now won four straight one goal contests since the start of the second half of the season after the new year.  The Golden Eagles opened up the new year with a pair of wins at home against Neumann (5-4) and King's (5-4 OT), before hitting the road to take down Lebanon Valley (4-3) and nationally-ranked Stevenson (4-3 OT). The game-winner over Neumann came with just 21 seconds left in regulation.  The winner against King's came 18 seconds into the overtime period.  The Golden Eagles knocked off Stevenson with just 1:02 left in the five minute overtime period.

To the Victors Go the Spoils:  Junior blue liner Ryan Romeo and senior goalie Matt Schneider were each honored by the SUNYAC for their stellar performances in two victories last weekend.  Romeo earned the league's player of the week honor after he registered one goal and added four assists last weekend. He netted the game tying goal with 2:56 left in regulation to help force overtime as the Golden Eagles went on to defeat Stevenson on Saturday. He finished the night with a team-best three points on one goal and two assists. He also assisted the game-winning goal as the Golden Eagles topped host Lebanon Valley 4-3 on Friday night. He finished Friday with two assists. Romeo leads the team with 19 points on six goals and 13 assists this season. Schneider was named the SUNYAC Goalie of the Week after he picked up two one goal victories for the Golden Eagles. He posted 19 saves and held Lebanon Valley to an 0-for-7 effort on the power-play on the road Friday night. He came back on Saturday night and stopped 21 shots on the road at nationally-ranked Stevenson. He held the Mustangs to an 0-for-3 effort on the power-play.

Strong Third Period Team: Seven of Brockport's nine wins this season have been by one goal.  Six out of the seven game-winning goals came in the third period of play or overtime.  Two of the five game-winners came with less than a minute to play in regulation (Cortland & Neumann), while two of the winner's came in overtime (King's & Stevenson).

Last Time Out: Brockport rallied from a 3-1 second period deficit to earn a 4-3 overtime victory on the road at nationally-ranked No. 10 Stevenson University on Saturday night.  Captain Connor Hutchins netted the game winner with just 1:02 left in the overtime period to help the Golden Eagles secure their fourth straight one goal victory.

In the National Spotlight: Romeo ranks fourth nationally and first in the league in points per game among defenders with an average of 1.27 points per contest. As a team the Golden Eagles rank 21^st nationally with a 21% power-play scoring percentage (17-of-81). Doc Gentzler is tied for 12^th in the league with an average of 1.00 points per game.  Jordan Renaud is tied for 11^th in the SUNYAC with an average of .40 goals per game. Connor Hutchins ranks ninth in the league with an average of .67 assists per game.

Between the Pipes: Senior goalie Matt Schneider is tied for first in the league with eight wins in goal this season. He now has 25 career victories and ranks second on the College's all-time list with a 2.88 career goals against average.  He has started 13 games this season and has one shut out to go along with 284 saves and a 2.84 GAA.

Team Stats: Brockport ranks third in the league with an average of 3.00 goals per game.  They have the third-best power-play unit in the league and the fourth best penalty kill. Brockport's best period is the third period as they have scored 15 goals in the final 20 minutes, while allowing just 13.   

Next Up: Brockport returns home for SUNAYC action on January 24^th and 25^th when the Golden Eagles host Plattsburgh and Potsdam at 7 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

Brockport corrals the #10 Mustangs

The College at Brockport hockey team rallied from a 3-1 second period deficit to earn a 4-3 overtime victory on the road at nationally-ranked No. 10 Stevenson University on Saturday night.  Captain Connor Hutchins netted the game winner with just 1:02 left in the overtime period to help the Golden Eagles secure their fourth straight one goal victory.

Brockport improved to 9-6 overall and won its second overtime contest in the last three games.  Seven of the nine Golden Eagle victories this season have come by just one goal.  Stevenson's record fell to 10-3 overall and they have now lost two straight games to SUNYAC opponents after falling to Geneseo on Friday night.

Brockport's Ryan Romeo continued his solid start to the second half of the season as he posted a game-high one goal and two assists for the Golden Eagles.  Romeo was able to force overtime after netting an unassisted goal, his sixth of the year, with just 2:56 to go in regulation.

Jordan Renaud kickstarted the Brockport comeback as he registered his sixth goal of the season, off assists from Anthony Hora and Romeo, at the 8:04 marker of the third period to set the score at 3-2 in favor of the Mustangs.

Stevens jumped out to a 2-1 first period lead behind the momentum of a Dominic Brenza goal just 1:07 into the contest.  Brockport captain Hunter Laslo answered with his fourth goal of the season midway through the first period to knot the score at 1-1.

Stevenson then rattled off two goals in in a span of less than seven minutes to take a 3-1 lead with under 14 minutes to go in the contest.

Brockport's Mitchell Parsons finished the night with two assists, while Jeremy Solat also added one helper.

Golden Eagle goalie Matt Schneider stopped 21 shots on the day as he picked up his eighth win of the season.  Ryan Kenny made 29 saves in net for the Mustangs.

Brockport outshot Stevenson 33-24 on the day and the Golden Eagles held the Mustangs to an 0-for-3 effort on the power-play.

Brockport grounds the Flying Dutchmen

The College at Brockport men's hockey team won its third straight contest to start the new year on Friday night as the Golden Eagles held on for a 4-3 victory on the road at Lebanon Valley College. Captain Connor Hutchins netted what proved to be the game-winner in the second period, while Jake Colosanti chipped in with two goals of his own.

Brockport improved to 8-6 overall on the season, while Lebanon Valley fell to 3-9-1 overall. Brockport went 3-for-6 on the power-play, while holding the Dutchmen to an 0-for-7 effort with a man advantage. Brockport senior goalie Matt Schneider stopped 19 shots, including all 11 he faced in the third period, to pick up his seventh win of the season.

Ryan Romeo added two helpers on the day, while Hutchins finished with one goal and one assist.  Danny Rock gave the Golden Eagles the lead for good in the second period as he netted a power-play goal, off assists from Romeo and Hutchins, at the 11:32 marker to hand the visitors a 3-2 lead.  Romeo now has 11 assists this season.

The two teams exchanged blows in the first period and the score was knotted at 2-2 through 20 minutes of action.  Colosanti got the Golden Eagles on the board with his third of the season just 1:46 into the contest off an assist from Jordan Renaud to put the visitors on top 1-0 early in the contest.  LVC answered right back less than seven minutes later to tie the score at 1-1.

Colosanti then added his fourth of the year off assists from Doc Gentzler and Ethan Solat to give Brockport back a one goal lead, 2-1, midway through the first.  Lebanon Valley responded just over a minute later and tied the game back up at 2-2.

Rock and Hutchins each added a second period goal to put the Golden Eagles on top 4-2. Rock's second of the year came at 11:32 of the second, while Hutchins also added his second of the season less than two minutes later.

Lebanon Valley was able to cut its deficit to one goal late in the second period and the two teams skated into the final 20 minutes with the score set at 4-3.

The Golden Eagle defense was able to kill off 12 minutes of penalties in the third and final period to preserve the victory for the visitors despite being outshot 11-1 in the stanza.  Brockport finished the day with a 30-22 shot advantage.

Brockport travels to LVC and Stevenson

The College at Brockport men's hockey team travels to Pennsylvania and Maryland this weekend for non-conference action looking to extend its two game winning streak when the Golden Eagles take on Lebanon Valley Friday (7 p.m.) and Stevenson Saturday (4 p.m.).

Unbeaten Since New Year's: Brockport won a pair of one goal games at home last weekend as the Golden Eagles topped Neumann on Friday 5-4 and then defeated King's in overtime on Saturday by the same score.  Brockport snapped a four game losing streak and improved to 7-6 overall on the season following the victories.

Coming Through When We Need It: Five of Brockport's seven wins this season have been by one goal.  All five of those game-winning goals came in the third period of play or overtime.  Two of the five game-winners came with less than a minute to play in regulation (Cortland & Neumann), while one of the winner's came in overtime (King's).

In the National Spotlight: Doc Gentzler ranks in the top 50 nationally and sixth in the league with an average of .83 assists per game this season.  He leads the team with 10 assists overall. Ryan Romeo ranks sixth nationally among blue-liners with an average of 1.08 points per contest.  He also ranks eighth in the SUNYAC with 14 total points on five goals and nine assists. Romeo's 14 total points ranks second among SUNYAC defenders.

Scoring on the Power-Play: Gentzler and Connor Hutchins are tied for seventh in the conference with seven points each on the power-play this season. Anthony Hora is tied for sixth in the league with three power-play goals.

Our Goalie: Senior goalie Matt Schneider is tied for second in the league with six wins between the pipes this season. He now has 23 career victories and ranks second on the College's all-time list with a 2.88 career goals against average.  He has started 11 games this season and has one shut out to go along with 244 saves and a 2.83 GAA.

Double Digit Scorers:  Jordan Renaud and Connor Hutchins join Romeo and Gentzler as the top scorers for Brockport this season.  Renaud has five goals and five assists, including two game-winners, while Hutchins has one goal and ranks second on the team with nine assists.  Junior Danny Rock rounds out the top five scorers for the Golden Eagles with one goal and seven helpers.

Last Meeting Against Lebanon Valley: Brockport topped Lebanon Valley 7-3 at home last season. Connor Hutchins, Danny Rock and Jeremy Solat each netted two goals, while Corey Tam added three assists for the Golden Eagles.

Last Meeting Against Stevenson: Brockport will look to avenge a 2-0 loss at home against the Mustangs last season.

Here, at Brockport, we know the love that our Romeo has for hockey.

Ryan Romeo continues to do great things on the ice. We're more than halfway through the season and he has shown no signs of letting up.

He has 5 goals, 9 assists, and 14 points.

Brockport beats King's in OT

The College at Brockport ice hockey team picked up another close win at home on Saturday, defeating King's College 5-4 in overtime. Doc Gentzler proved to be the hero, burying the game-winner just 18 seconds into the overtime period.

The Golden Eagles are now the winners of two in a row since the start of the new year, and are 7-6 overall. Several players recorded multiple points on the night.

Mitchell Parsons and Jeremy Solat both found the back of the net twice in the contest. Doc Gentzler finished with one goal and two assists, while Corey Tam came away with two assists. Ryan Romeo and Ethan Solat both contributed with an assist in the win.

King's College struck first, as the visiting Monarch's took a 1-0 lead in the first period. Brockport would even the score up at 1-1, with Jeremy Solat's first score of the night. The Monarch's would score once more right before the end of the period to take a 2-1 edge over the Green and Gold.

King's College would increase its advantage to 3-1 about halfway through the second period, but Brockport answered quickly. Mitchell Parsons would score two goals in a span of three minutes for the Golden Eagles to tie the game, heading into the third period.

At the midpoint of the third period, Jeremy Solat would give Brockport its first lead of the game with a 4-3 advantage on the power play goal. King's scored on its own power play opportunity moments later to tie the score once again, sending the game to overtime. Just 18 seconds into the overtime period Doc Gentzler put away the game-winner, as Brockport took the 5-4 victory.

Freshman goaltender Aidan Curry made 14 saves for the Golden Eagles. They outshot the Monarch's 59-18 in the game and were 1-for-3 on power play opportunities.

A big comeback for Brockport

The College at Brockport men's hockey team rallied from a 4-2 third period deficit with three unanswered goals in the final 5:30 of action to earn a thrilling 5-4 non-conference victory over visiting Neumann University on Friday night. Danny Rock netted his first goal of the season with just 21 seconds left in regulation to lift the Golden Eagles past the Knights in their first game back following the holiday break.  Rock's goal was a bullet from the point that ricocheted off the post, then the Neumann goalie's back and into the net to hand the Golden Eagles a one goal lead with 21 seconds left.

Brockport snapped a four game skid and improved to 6-6 overall on the season, while Neumann's record fell to 3-8 overall.  The box score featured five different goal scorers for the Golden Eagles, while 11 different players registered at least one point for the home team.

Danny Rock posted one goal and one assist, while Chris Pollini added three helpers for the home team.  Connor Hutchins also chipped in with two assists.  Neumann's Barry Kneedler led the way for the visitors with a hat-trick to give him eight goals on the year.

The first period saw the home team outshoot the visitors 14-5, but both teams came up empty as the score was set at 0-0 following 20 minutes of action.

Neumann got on the board first early in the second period as Kneedler netted his first of the day just 3:39 into the period on the power-play.

Brockport's Hunter Laslo answered with his third of the season to knot the score at 1-1 off assists from Mitchell Parsons and Chris Pollini. The score stood at 1-1 after two full periods of play.

The third period featured a combined seven goals between the two teams.  Kneedler gave the visitors a 2-1 lead just 2:29 into the third period, but the home team answered right back when Ethan Solat netted his third of the year off assists from his brother Jeremy Solat and Pollini.

Neumann then took advantage of a five minute non-releasable power-play to net two goals with a man advantage just 1:51 apart to take a commanding 4-2 lead with just over seven minutes to go in the contest.  Evan Hoey and Kneedler were credited with the Knight goals.

Trevor Pray got the Golden Eagles going in the third period when he netted his second of the year to make it a one goal game, 4-3, with 5:30 to go in regulation.  Hutchins and Doc Gentzler each registered an assist on Pray's goal.

Ryan Romeo then knotted the score at 4-4 with 1:45 to go in the contest as he posted his fifth goal of the season off assists from Rock and Jake Colosanti.

It appeared as if the game might extend into extra time, until Brockport fought hard to keep possession and eventually worked the puck in front to Danny Rock, who sent a wrist shot on target for the game-winning goal with just 21 seconds left on the game clock.  Rock's winner was assisted by Hutchins and Pollini.

Neumann finished the day with three power-play goals, while Brockport outshot the visitors 34-23.  Neumann's Mike Cosentino finished the day with 29 saves, while Matt Schneider stopped 19 shots in the win for the Golden Eagles. Schneider now has six wins on the season for Brockport.

Brockport to open new year with two home games

The College at Brockport ice hockey team gets back to action on January 3^rd, 2020 for some non-conference action. The team hosts Neumann University at 7 pm that Friday, before welcoming King's College on Saturday at 4 pm.

Before Break: As the fall semester ended the Golden Eagles had a break for the holidays. Prior to the pause in action they earned a record of 5-6 overall and 5-4 in the conference. The team has come up empty recently with a string of losses on the road, including a 4-2 loss to #3 SUNY Geneseo. With plenty of hockey left on the schedule the team has time to right the ship.

Conference Play: Brockport is currently sitting in fourth in the SUNYAC with its 5-4 mark in league play. The squad is only trailing Morrisville (5-3), Geneseo (5-1-1), and Oswego (6-1) in the conference. The Green and Gold are just one of four teams in the conference to record double-digit points in the standings.

Look to Bounce Back: The team has lost its last four games and is looking to get back on the right track against Neumann and King's this weekend. Brockport is 2-2 at home this season and should take advantage of playing on its home ice for the first game back from the holidy break.

SUNYAC Break: After playing nine games in the SUNYAC for the first part of the season, the Golden Eagles have a pause in conference play coming up. Starting with this weekend's matchups against Neumann and King's the team will face six straight non-conference opponents. The next SUNYAC matchup isn't until January 24^th when Brockport hosts Plattsburgh.

Team Leaders: Jordan Renaud and Ryan Romeo lead the way for the squad. Both have 11 points on the season, while Renaud leads the team with six goals and Romeo has a team-best eight assists. Casey Winn has hustled and sacrificed his body to record 13 blocks on defense. Matt Schneider is the top performing goaltender on the roster, making 225 saves on the year and has one shutout to his credit.

Scouting Neumann: The Neumann Knights are 3-7 overall and 3-5 in UCHC competition. The team struggles to win at home, holding a 2-6 mark in its own barn. The Knights most recently fell to Wilkes University, 1-2, at home. Zac Boyle leads the way with 10 total points on the season from five goals and five assists. Barry Kneedler has also scored five goals, while teammate Richie Brusco leads the team with seven assists. Kyle Pantelone is 2-2 as the starting goaltender and has made 135 saves to earn a .912 saves percentage.

Scouting King's: King's College from Pennsylvania is 1-7 overall and 1-6 in UCHC play so far this year. The team is a winless 0-5 at home and has lost five straight games going into the weekend. The Monarchs will take on Geneseo Friday ahead of the Saturday meeting with Brockport. Tommy Cahill leads the team with eight points on three goals and five assists. Michael DiSchiavi has also scored three goals for the Monarchs. Tyler Sayger is 1-3 as the starting goaltender and has made 153 saves for a .911 saves percentage.
