Derek Landmesser announced Friday that the team has signed defenseman
Mike Hayward to a contract. Terms and conditions were not released.
Hayward, 24, was a teammate of current RiverKings' rookie Ian Finnerty during his time at SUNY Brockport. The 6'0", 200 lbs. native of Toronto, Ont. appeared in 24 games with the Golden Eagles last season, recording 14 points (6G, 8A).
Hayward made his professional debut Friday night as the RiverKings took on the Fayetteville FireAntz.
