Brokcport ties Buffalo State

The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team tied Buffalo State, 2-2, on Friday night in Buffalo. Brockport is now 6-13-4 overall and 3-9-2 in the conference.
 
Brockport recorded 23 shots in the first period to Buffalo State's 13, but neither team found the back of the net in the first 20 minutes.
 
The Golden Eagles struck first with Connor Galloway sending the puck past Cumberworth at 8:26 into the second period. Galloway was assisted by Chase Maxwell and Manny Sanchez on the play. The Bengals answered the call almost immediately scoring at 10:07 in the second to tie the score up at 1-1.

Spencer Flansburg broke the tie, scoring a goal at 14:53, assisted by Andrew Harley. Flansburg's score sent the men into the final intermission up 2-1.
 
Buffalo State scored its second goal of the night at 7:56 into the third evening up the score at 2-2. With no other score the game went to overtime. Neither team could score in the 5-minute overtime period, resulting in a tie.
 
Dylan Wiemer played 65:00 minutes in goal, making 31 saves and allowing two goals. He ended the night with an overall save percentage of .939%.
