The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team (12-6-1, 5-4-1) traveled to
face Plattsburgh State (11-7-3, 7-4-1) on Saturday night where the
Golden Eagles fell 4-3 to its SUNYAC opponent.
Summery
Ryan Romeo Scored two goals for Brockport adding to his incredible season giving him 32 total points all year on 11 goals and 21 assists. Connor Galloway also record two points on a goal and assists with Andrew Harley getting his two points this game off of two assists.
1st Period
Plattsburgh started out the game by scoring three unanswered goals
against the Green and Gold within the first 10-minutes of the game
before Ryan Romeo would score his 10th goal of the season with Andrew Harley and Connor Galloway
assisting him. Before the period ended the Cardinals would record
another goal leading Brockport 4-1 heading into the first intermission.
2nd Period
Brockport's defense stepped up in the second period not allowing a goal
and helped the Golden Eagle's get one back. 5:36 into the period, Connor Galloway scored the only goal of the period to make the game 4-2. Putting Brockport back in the game the goal was assisted by Andrew Harley, his second of the night.
3rd Period
Not allowing a goal for the last two periods, Brockport would hold the
Cardinals to four goals. 18:39 into the last period, Romeo would record
his second goal and the Golden Eagles final goal of the game leaving the
final score Plattsburgh 4, Brockport 3.
Goalkeeping
Brockport managed to block a total of 10 shots while Nolan Egbert saved for 26 shots on net. Jacob Hearne recorded a total of 13 saves while allowing two goals.

The Golden Eagles will next travel to Morrisville on Wednesday, February
2nd for a 7 pm puck drop before traveling to Oswego on Friday, February
4th and hosting Cortland on Saturday, February 5th at the Tuttle North
Ice Arena in Brockport, NY.
