A player to watch in the second half of the season is defenseman Corey Tam. The freshman has 3 goals and 6 assists and is on pace for an 18-point season. Those are exceptional numbers for any NCAA DIII hockey player, let alone a blueliner. Among SUNYAC defensemen he is second in goals, behind Geneseo's Duggie Lagrone's 5 lamplighters.
His best number, though, is his team-leading plus/minus of +14. The next closest Brockport player comes in at +7. That means he's he pretty special at helping to prevent opponent's goals while also helping to score on those opponents. A double-digit plus at the break is something Brockport Hockey hasn't seen in many, many years.
He's incredibly polished for a freshman and he's a hard worker who looks to improve on all of those fantastic numbers.
