Michael Gershon ('09) was an impressive hard-hitting defenseman for the Golden Eagles. In 2008, he scored a hat trick (the first Brockport blueliner to ever do so) in a 7-2 demolition of Geneseo and was awarded Second Team All-SUNYAC honors that same season.

On Tuesday, Chatham Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Leonard Trevino announced the return of Michael Gershon as Head Men's Hockey Coach.
Gershon, who departed Chatham before this past season, is the program's all-time wins leader (28) and led the Cougars to their first winning season (2022-23) and first postseason appearance (2021-22).
