Oswego beats Brockport

The SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team fell, 5-1, to the Oswego State Lakers in Oswego on Friday night. The Golden Eagles are now 3-8-1 in the conference and 6-12-3 overall on the season.
 
The Golden Eagles recorded a total of seven shots in the first 20 minutes compared to 11 from the Lakers. Both teams went into the first intermission scoreless.
 
Oswego scored twice in the second period to break the tie and take control. The first goal was scored at 4:26 into the period, followed by a second goal at 11:53. Brockport recorded a total of nine shots in the second and began the third period down 2-0.
 
The Lakers scored three more goals in the third period to take a commanding 5-0 lead. The Golden Eagles first and only goal of the night came at 14:28 into the third. Scott Ramaekers scored to prevent the shutout, assisted by Josh Grund. Oswego didn't allow for a chance at a comeback, taking the 5-1 win.
 
Dylan Wiemer spent 59:37 minutes in goal or the Green and Gold, making at total of 27 saves.
