Longtime readers of this blog know I value the performance of the hockey team in the classroom more so than on the ice. They are, after all, student athletes. That's why I value what young James Ryan accomplished. Last week, the power play machine was awarded the Scholar Athlete Award from the College at the "BESPY Awards" which stands for Brockport's Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards. James was honored for posting a 3.75 grade point average, while standing out as an accounting major.
