"GROWING UP CARLYLE"

The hockey world, though vast and stretching across multiple continents, is a small world nonetheless. Everyone knows everyone, and there's always Six Degrees of Separation when it comes to Brockport Hockey.

When head coach Randy Carlyle was let go by the Maple Leafs recently, it got Carson Shields of "The Hockey Writers" thinking about Randy and his family -- especially Randy's affable son Craig who played for the Golden Eagles from 2005-2006 to 2007-2008 where he amassed 3 goals and 7 assists in 38 career games.
