All-American Scholars

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) has once again recognized varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2024-25 season with the announcement of the ninth annual “Krampade All-American Scholars.”

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team’s games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.

The names of the 664 Division II-III men's ice hockey honorees were recently released.

Galloway re-signs with Galdiators

 


The Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL announced that the club has re-signed forward Connor Galloway for the 2025-26 season.

Galloway, a native of Sugar Hill, Georgia, re-signs with his hometown club for his second season. The 25-year-old forward scored seven points (3g-4a) in 47 games with the Gladiators last season in his first season as a pro. He scored his first professional goal on Jan. 12, 2025, vs the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Prior to turning pro, he played college hockey at SUNY Brockport, scoring 78 points (30 goals and 48 assists) in 75 career games with the Golden Eagles. In his final season in 2023-24, Galloway led the team in scoring with 19 points (7g-12a) in 25 games.

Hagens connection to Brockport

 


With the seventh pick of the 2025 NHL draft, Boston selected Boston College center James Hagens.

Hockey runs in the family.

His dad, Mike, was a defenseman for three seasons at Brockport, from 1997-1998 through 1999-2000.

Mike played in 59 games for the Golden Eagles, tallying 10 points.
